[Ticket Giveaway] Alt-J w/ Tycho | April 6 @ The Grand Ole Opry House

We’ve been telling you about the impending return of the English explosion that is Alt-J since they first announced their Nashville return, and then we got an extra bump in our anticipation with the addition of Tycho to the April 6 bill at The Grand Ole Opry House. This one, amazingly, is not quite sold out yet.  You can either go ahead and snack up one of the last remaining seats right here starting at $50, or you can enter for the chance to win a pair of tickets in our giveaway below.

ALT-J

Quick… name a group in the past 5 years that have blown up as quickly as Alt-J?  That’s right, it’s pretty hard to think of a band that released their first album, An Awesome Wave, in 2012, and wrapped up that year with the ‘Album Of The Year’ Mercury Prize and a world tour.  That could only lead to a sophomore slump and disappointment, right?  Not with Alt-J.  Their followup, This Is All For You, dropped in September 2014 to massive acclaim, and has lead to another world tour, which included sold out shows in Madison Square Garden sized arenas.  Needless to say, it’s amazing that the considerably smaller Grand Ole Opry House still has a few seats remaining seats.

TYCHO

Every so often, a DJ appears whose music is a strong argument against electronic music naysayers. Tycho puts out instrument-laden intelligent emotional tracks that still provoke the desire to dance and groove.  Tycho is touring in support of his March 2014 release Awake, which seeded highly in most end of the year lists for dance/electronica albums.
