No Country in a Nutshell: The Weekly Recap | 1.5-1.11

The holiday lull officially ended last week, and the first burst of music news in 2015 came in a flurry.  We have summer festivals announcing lineups, which in turn leads to other record and tour announcements.  We also got our weekly Acme showcase going again with a spirited performance from Rae Hering and Anna Haas + The Effect, and we have another exciting evening of jams tonight with Blackfoot Gypsies and Shane Piasecki at Acme tonight for FREE!  Things get started at 7pm, so come out and join us to dance away the chilly weather!

In a nutshell, a lot happened last week.  In case you missed anything, here’s a recap of everything we covered last week on the site:

  • SHOW: Infinity Cat had their showcase at The End with Left & Right, Wishlist, California X, Slanted and Jawws.
  • RELEASE: EZA released her lastest track “Headlights”, and is rising fast in the local scene.
  • RELEASE: The Harmaleighs released a new single off upcoming LP titled “Doll Made of Glass.”
  • STREAM: Check out the new EP Dads Day from Kansas Bible Company.
  • STREAM: Stream Dr. Dog‘s new album “Live At A Flamingo Hotel” ahead of their Ryman performance this spring!
  • VIDEO: Parquet Courts performed on Letterman and you can catch them at Exit/In next month.
