As we cross the halfway mark for December, the holidays loom large and the new year feels right around the corner. While the next couple of weeks will be a bit slower for shows, relatively speaking, we’ve got plenty of announcements rolling in that’ll help you start planning for an epic 2015, along with Bonnaroo speculation, releases, and our very own Christmas Caroling Party to look forward to. We know the holidays are busy, so, in case you missed anything on the site this week, here’s a recap:

  • NEWS: Santana announced a spring return to The Ryman.
  • NEWS: Country singer Nikki Lane announced a Dec. 28 show at 3rd & Lindsely with Charlie Mars.
  • NEWS: Van Warped Tour announced six more bands ahead of its July 1 return to Nashville!
  • NEWS: Flock of Dimes were added to Sylvan Esso‘s April 1 show at Cannery Ballroom.
  • NEWS: Newly reunited Sleater-Kinney announced an April show at Marathon Music Works.
  • NEWS: New Found Glory announced their first Nashville date in years.
  • NEWS: Nashville’s own Diarrhea Planet were named “Best Live Act of 2014” by Paste!
  • NEWS: Dr. Dog premiered a new track from their upcoming live album ahead of a show at The Ryman!
  • NEWS: Cusses dropped off the Quixotic II bill at Exit/In and were replaced by Regulation Nine.
  • NEWS: Country legend Loretta Lynn was added to Jack White‘s Jan. 28 Bridgestone performance!
  • FEATURE: This Weekend in Nashville: Our staff highlighted the weekend’s must-see shows.
  • REVIEW: We caught Bush, Royal Blood and Meg Myers at War Memorial Auditorium and brought you our take on it (w/ PHOTOS).
  • REVIEW: We checked out Olivia Jean with Yumi and the System and Mystery Twins (w/ PHOTOS).
  • BONNAROO: We posted our annual list of Bonnaroo lineup rumors and speculation!
  • SHOW: Daniel Ellsworth & the Great Lakes performed for Red Bull Sound Select at The High Watt with Buffalo Rodeo, BASECAMP, and The Electric Sons.
  • SHOW: Paper Route played Exit/In with Phin and The Left Hooks.
  • SHOW: The Black Keys performed at the Bridgestone Arena with St. Vincent.
  • RELEASE: Jack White fiddle player Lillie Mae Rische dropped a 7-inch for Third Man’s Blue series.
  • RELEASE: Night Beds debuted a surprisingly synthy new single, “Me, Liquor, & God.”
  • VIDEO: Alt rock group Kamber released live video for debut EP title track “Hurry Up.”
  • VIDEO: Local group One Cent Stamp dropped a new lyric video for “One Way Rail.”
  • VIDEO: St. Paul and the Broken Bones performed for NPR’s Tiny Desk Series ahead of their NYE show at Marathon.
  • CONTEST: Ticket Giveaway: Steel Panther with Like A Storm | Dec. 17 at Marathon Music Works
