If the name Lauren Strange sounds familiar, it could be because you’re an O.G. No Country reader (her writing used to appear on this very site), or it could be that you just have great taste. A Memphis transplant and current staple of the Nashville scene, Strange and her backing band, The Pretty Killers, have been making waves since the 2010 release of her debut, The Strange EP. While that record showcased the singer’s folkier leaning tendencies, her upcoming followup, Say Yes, which is slated for release on Dec. 2, marks a shift to a grungier, more rock and roll sound, channelling a ’90s nostalgia while maintaining pop accessibility and flexing Lauren’s expert songwriting chops. Mixed and mastered by John Netti, Say Yes is currently available for pre-order, and one of its three killer tracks, “Runner,” is streaming now!

You can listen to Lauren Stange’s latest single below, and catch her live Dec. 2 at The Groove, along with Chattanooga duo VENA CAVA, for a FREE, all ages record release show! Head here for additional info.
