For a show with no cover charge, it ‘sold out’ pretty quickly! Already the Bluebird Cafe‘s website claims that no more tickets are available, but have no fear – roughly 10 bar seats (for anyone 21+) and 14 church pew seats (all ages) will be available on a first come, first serve basis for tonight‘s show. In addition to Eliot Bronson, Dean Fields and Andy Zipf (all three of whom are members of The Parlor Sessions), there will apparently be a mystery guest. There is a food/drink minimum of $7 for the evening and doors will open at 5PM, so, if you want to grab a spot, you had best get there early. For a Wednesday night, they sure sold out fast…
ELIOT BRONSON
We have mentioned Eliot Bronson before in our posts, and he’s making a reappearance on the No Country page because seriously, we do not want this guy to ever leave us. After releasing his self-titled EP on Oct. 21, the singer/songwriter is now touring to bring his new music to life on stage. This Atlanta native has won numerous awards for his talents, which would explain why The Bluebird Cafe has him on the lineup – early shows at this venue are reserved mostly for the rising stars in the music scene. Also on stage with Bronson will be two members of The Parlor Sessions, a singing/songwriting group of four talented young musicians that Bronson is a part of, and they’ll be playing their latest songs that they’ve created in an “in the round” format.
DEAN FIELDS
Richmond, Virginia native Dean Fields is a self-professed complicated man, claiming to wake up in the middle of the night to do things like change the cat box and then wake up the next morning with no recollection of ever having done it. He went to graduate school to pursue music, and then left graduate school to pursue music. His latest EP, Any Minute Now, was co-written with Grammy winners and #1 songwriters, and now he’s promoting both his music and that of The Parlor Sessions through a few live performances.
ANDY ZIPF
Andy Zipf (the “p” is silent, so it’s just “Ziff”) most recently released Jealous Hands, his third full-length album. It took him narrowing down from 20 songs to 10 songs to do it, but all that means is we definitely have more to look forward from him in the future. He’ll be joining his fellow Parlor Sessions members on stage tonight to showcase his music and that of the group’s, which should make for a wonderfully creative evening.
Eliot Bronson, Dean Fields, and Andy Zipf will perform tonight, Nov. 19 at The Bluebird Cafe. The show is all ages, begins at 6PM (doors at 5PM), and admission is free with a $7 food/drink minimum.
