If you haven’t had a chance to catch Third Man Record’s newest solo chanteuse Olivia Jean yet, The Stone Fox has just announced that she’ll be playing there alongside Yumi and the System and Mystery Twins on Friday, December 5. Jean released her first solo album last month after cutting her teeth with the all-girl garage band The Black Belles and as a session player on a plethora of Third Man projects, including both of Jack White’s solo records. If you weren’t lucky enough to snag a ticket to her Devil’s Night record release party at Third Man or to catch her in-store at Grimey’s, then come see what all the fuss is about and hear some catchy alternative rockabilly. The local male-female minimalist duo and former members of The Clutters Mystery Twins are opening with East Nashville’s female-fronted industrial alternative group Yumi and the System for a night chock full of rock and roll with women in charge.
