RachaelYamagata-620

Eclectic singer-songwriter Rachael Yamagata returns to Nashville tonight, Nov. 5, for the first time in several years, for a performance at 3rd & Lindsley ahead of the release of a new LP, brandishing a re-tooled aesthetic, and supported by The Dove & The Wolf and Hemming. Read on to find out more about this all ages performances, which begins at 8 p.m.

RACHAEL YAMAGATA

Rachael Yamagata’s tour includes songs from her 10-year career as well as the premiere of new track from her forthcoming album. due out in early 2015. Touted by NPR as having “a guts and a sexiness to her,” Rachael has been compared to Bonnie Raitt, Rufus Wainwright, and Ryan Adams, but we understand the new production territory may call in hints of Mazzy Star and Cat Power, as well, with new elements of mellotrons, rain splattering on metal, and even French translated letters. Say what? I guess we will just need to check it out…

THE DOVE AND THE WOLF

The Dove & the Wolf are Paloma and Lou, a musical duo from Paris, France, who are doing their first North American tour this fall supporting their “big sister” Rachael Yamagata. They have a limited-edition 7-inch with new music recorded in Woodstock, NY available on the tour, with a full-length album set to follow in 2015.

HEMMING

HEMMING is Candice Martello, an acoustic singer-songwriter hailing from Philadelphia, PA.  Her high-voltage vocals and folk-influenced songs have have helped set her apart from the crowd as a performer in the city’s thriving music scene.

Rachael Yamagata, The Dove & The Wolf, and Hemming will perform tonight, Nov. 5 at 3rd & Lindsley. The show is all ages, begins at 8PM (doors at 6PM), and tickets are available for $18.
