Best known for co-writing and appearing on pop star Rihanna’s smash hit single, “Stay,” Nashville-based Mikky Ekko has been a part of the Music City scene for several years, serving as a member of local bands as well as a songwriter and producer for other acts. His solo career has been burgeoning for the last few years, helped, in no small way, by his breakout success with Rihanna (which earned the singer-songwriter a slot to perform at the 2013 Grammy Awards). Though Ekko has yet to release a full-length debut, solo singles like “Smile” and “Pull Me Down” have already been making waves. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that Mikky will headline this month’s Red Bull Sound Select showcase, which, for the first time, is set to take place Sept. 27 at Acme Feed & Seed. Basecamp and Denitia and Sene will support, and, per usual, an RSVP grants you $3 admission. As always, the show will be first come, first served, so even if you RSVP, you should plan to arrive early. Head here to find out more.
