A couple of weeks ago, The New Pornographers paid tribute to their influences while promoting their new stand out release Brill Bruisers by performing an NPR First Listen show at the legendary Brill Building in NYC. In a clear nod to the pop artists that became legends in the hallowed halls of the New York City “music row”, AC Newman called the once-in-a-lifetime performance a “cool throwback to those classic Brill Building basement shows.”
