Tamworth Presents: Australiana @ Americana at The Bluebird Cafe is Sounds Australia’s annual preview event which highlights some of the 30+ Aussies attending and performing during AmericanaFest 2014. Host Dobe Newton will introduce some of Australia’s finest talent in this iconic Nashville venue as artists perform in a line during four separate sets of fantastic music. There are two separate sittings at 6PM and 9PM. Artists include Rob Draper, Kirsty Akers, Imogen Clark, Kevin Bennett, The Mae Trio, Mia Wray, Lachlan Bryan, Christopher Coleman, Chris Altmann, Jemma Nicole, Melody Pool, Dan Waters, Daniel Champagne, and Sal Kimber.

Hard Working Americans: The First Waltz – Film Screening at 7 PM at the Belcourt Theatre. A screening of director Justin Kreutzmann’s insightful, copacetic-minded snapshot of Hard Working Americans, a fertile new collaboration for battered-butunbroken hippy musical lifers Todd Snider, Dave Schools (Widespread Panic), Neal Casal (The Cardinals, Chris Robinson Brotherhood), Chad Staehly (Great American Taxi), Duane Trucks (Col. Bruce Hampton’s School of Music) and Jesse Aycock. The film mixes intimate concert performances, road scenes, personal tales and studio footage. A Q&A with the band, minus Neal Casal, hosted by Nashville Scene managing editor Jack Silverman, will follow the film. $15, Tickets available at www.belcourt.org or at the door.
