If the first week of September was any indication, it’s going to be another great fall. Between Live on the Green’s first three day weekend, tons of exciting show announcements, some great releases, our own Acme showcase, and more, it was quite a busy week. We wouldn’t blame you if you missed something, so here’s a recap of everything we covered on the site:

  • NO COUNTRY PRESENTS: Marquee Mayfield and the Mr. Moons | Sept. 9 at Acme Feed & Seed
  • NEWS: Hip hop supergroup Run the Jewels announced a return to Exit/In this October.
  • NEWS: Trombone Shorty announced a fall date at Marathon Music Works!
  • NEWS: JEFF the Brotherhood announced three back to back shows at The End later this October.
  • NEWS: Wilco announced a 20th anniversary tour which includes TWO back to back shows at The Ryman!
  • FEATURE: This Weekend in Nashville: Our staff highlighted the weekend’s must see shows!
  • FEATURE: Remains of August: We recapped all of the news, shows, releases, and more that we missed throughout August!
  • REVIEW: We brought you a review of another great year of the Muddy Roots Music Festival (w/ PHOTOS).
  • REVIEW: We brought Moon Age and Willie & the Giant to our weekly showcase at Acme Feed & Seed, and recapped the performance (w/ PHOTOS).
  • REVIEW: We caught The Clean at The Stone Fox with Boogarins (w/PHOTOS).
  • REVIEW: We stopped by Charlie Bob’s to check out the fourth annual Bitchfest and brought you our thoughts on the show!
  • LIVE ON THE GREEN: The 3 day festival wrapped up with Jake Bugg, The Lone Bellow, LP, Ingrid Michaelson, Sugar & the Hi Lows and Phin!
  • LIVE ON THE GREEN: Day 2 of the weekend continued with The Wild Feathers, G. Love & Special Sauce, Augustana and Daniel Ellsworth & The Great Lakes.
  • LIVE ON THE GREEN: The 3 day festival kicked off with Cage The Elephant, Delta Spirit and Johnnyswim.
  • SHOW: CUSSES performed at fooBAR with Brian Allen Thompson, The Wooly Mamas and SECRETCLUB.
  • SHOW: Justin Townes Earle performed an in-store at Grimey’s!
  • SHOW: Startisan performed at the Exit/In with Elliot Root and The Cunning.
  • RELEASE: Thelma and the Sleaze released a new EP, Heart Like a Fist.
  • RELEASE: Foxygen released a new single ahead of their fall show at Exit/In!
  • RELEASE: Local band TWICEYOUNG premiered a new single, “Uncover,” ahead of their sophomore EP!
  • RELEASE: Julian Casablancas+The Voidz premiered new single, “Human Sadness,” ahead of their Marathon Music Works date this October!
  • RELEASE: Banks premiered a new song, “Someone New,” ahead of her show this month at Cannery Ballroom.
  • STREAM: Death From Above 1979 streamed their long-awaited sophomore album ahead of their fall date at Marathon Music Works!
  • STREAM: Justin Townes Earle’s new album, Single Mothers, streamed ahead of its release.
  • VIDEO: Local rocker Justin Forrest debuted new video for “City Life.”
  • VIDEO: Cage The Elephant dropped new new music video for “Cigarette Daydreams.”
  • VIDEO: All Them Witches premiered a live video for “When God Comes Back.”
  • VIDEO: Daniel Ellsworth & The Great Lakes performed at DCXV for the latest “Shop Session.”
  • FUN: Hump Day Diversion: Call The Doctor
  • CONTEST: We’re giving away tickets to see Paola Nutini Oct. 6 at Marathon Music Works with Phox!
