Trombone Shorty-620

Stand out New Orleans jazz, funk, soul player Troy Andrews (dba Trombone Shorty) has announced a date at Marathon Music Works the day after Thanksgiving on Friday November 28th.  While many know this as the day they will stand in line at 4 am to get into Wal Mart for great Black Friday deals, we trust that readers of our little rag will prefer the beauty in partying with a legend in the New Orleans scene and beyond.

Founded in 2005, Trombone Shorty and, backing band, Orleans Avenue have quickly risen as staples in the festival scene.  We even got the chance to see them at the Fillmore in San Francisco for New Years a couple of years ago.  That show was as sold out as you could imagine, and ticket holders didn’t think twice about tossing $100 for a ticket to this absolute party.  For our money, things don’t get a lot better than Trombone Shorty and his eclectic approachable danceable jams, and we are certain that this will be just what the doctor ordered to get your holiday season off to a great start.

Tickets for this one go on sale on Wednesday, September 3rd at 10am, and you can go ahead and secure your party right here for only $22.
