East Nashville’s psychedelic surf rockers Sexx have just released their brand new video for the beach-punk single “Surf City,” which has been on heavy rotation on Lightning 100 this week leading up to a performance from the band at the Pour House on Friday, August 1 to celebrate the release of the new song. The trippy video features the group taking shrooms, and surfing in space with a creepy alien chick. Click through to watch the drugged-up madness.

Sexx already has a well-received EP under their belt, and have garnered buzz for their energetic performances; and the group does make some great party rock and roll. You’ve likely heard them on Lightning 100 lately, as they are this week’s Band of the Week. Sexx also has plans to release a full-length album soon, which is being recorded and produced by Matt Yonker of Teen Idols at Drastic Sounds Studio.  The new album will be released on Palaver Records. Keep on eye on Sexx if you want to catch a live show that’s sure to be too much fun.
