With an amazing lineup we are happy to add to our list of Nashville bands to see, Drew Holcomb  & The Neighbors. We were lucky enough to catch them earlier this summer at their self curated Moon River Music Festival at Levitt Shell in Memphis, TN. Providing an organic and powerful performance, this group is one to see without hesitation. Keep reading below to learn more about the upcoming performance of Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors at the WFPK Port Stage on Saturday, 7/19 at 8:30 PM. Also, don’t forget to check out the rest of the impressive 2014 lineup for Forecastle Festival.

LEARN

Drew & Ellie Holcomb, making up the band Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors, have grown to great success earning numerous T.V. placements with a heavy touring schedule, and the opportunity to open for nationally touring acts such as Jon McLaughlin, The Avett Brothers, Ryan Adams, etc. Following Holcomb’s 30th Birthday and the birth of his first daughter Emmylou, they recently released their fourth full length album Good Light. With the heart for home single of “Tennessee”, the album has gained an incredible reputation of providing captivating lyrical pictures with beautiful soulful interplays of melodies. Through a powerful live performance featuring deep harmonizing vocals between husband and wife, Drew and Ellie, this group has exceeded all expectation on the stages which they have been proudly showcasing while on the road.

With more music on the horizon, be sure to keep your eyes out this week as they set to release the ten year tribute album Ten Years, Ten Songs, Solo Acoustic in honor of ten years of grinding out an intense touring schedule and writing a multitude of songs. The new album will be a retrospective featuring songs from each past album. Some will be re-visited and re-imagined like “Steal My History”. All of this is in anticipation for the release of a fifth record in early 2015. Pushing forward as to say “may the journey continue…”, Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors are a group passionate about the music that they write and exhibit, and are pushing for a growing fan base and an incredible live performance. So be sure to check out these Nashville favorites at 8:30 PM on Saturday at the WFPK Port Stage.
