LorettaLynn-620

Country legend Loretta Lynn has announced not one, but two back to back performances this fall, Oct. 10 and 11, at just about the most perfect place we can ever imagine catching her: The Ryman Auditorium. Contrary to what the name of this site might imply, we have a ton of respect for country’s roots and its instrumental role in shaping this city; few people deserve more credit than Loretta for helping usher in that movement. Surely we don’t have to speak to the country fans for this one, but, those in the dark might know Lynn for career resurgence over the past decade, and associations with Nashville resident rock star Jack White. The 82 year old’s legacy is much, much more vast and influential than that, however, and we recommend falling down the vast Spotify hole of her hits, if you’re unfamiliar. Grab your tickets here (Friday, Oct. 10) and here (Saturday, Oct. 11) when they go on sale this Friday, June 27 at 10 a.m., with a pre-sale beginning one day earlier (use the password MINERSGIRL14). Two day packages are also available.
