As you may or may not recall, last fall emo/post-hardcore outfit Taking Back Sunday were set to perform at Marathon Music Works, when frontman Adam Lazarra was forced to leave their tour to tend to a family emergency. Rather than cancel, the group opted to try something special: they brought in former Underoath (and current Sleepwave) vocalist Spencer Chamberlain to fill in. Not quite a TBS show, to be sure, but a unique experience for fans nonetheless. Those yearning to see Taking Back Sunday in full form, however, are finally in luck; the band will return (hopefully intact) to Nashville Oct. 7 for a performance at Cannery Ballroom. Though their tourmates The Used will be sitting this particular show out, frnkiero andthe cellabration, the new solo moniker of ex-My Chemical Romance guitarist Frank Iero, have been tapped to support. Tickets go on sale this Friday, June 20, at 10 a.m., for $25.
Check out Taking Back Sunday’s latest music video, “Stood a Chance,” which features a cameo from local artist Ryan McCauley, after the jump!

Frank Iero wasn’t the bassist in MCR. He was guitar. Mikey Way was the bassist.
Oops, thanks for catching that!
