Conor Oberst‘s new album, Upside Down Mountain, was released yesterday, May 19, through Nonesuch Records, and, in celebration, the former brains behind Bright Eyes (as well as member of Desaparecidos and Monsters of Folk) stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to perform a new track called “Zigzagging Toward the Light.” Conor also took time to chat about his first concert experience, and you can watch both videos below!

Backing Oberst on the air were indie folk rockers Dawes, who are also out on tour with the singer, serving as both his opener and backing band for every date. As we told you previously, the groups will be stopping at our own Ryman Auditorium on June 6, and tickets are still available right here! Not only that, but we’re giving away a pair ahead of the show! You can check out a full preview and find out how to enter here.

Finally, if you haven’t yet streamed Upside Down Mountain, we’ve got it embedded below. We’ve been rocking it on repeat since last week, and our early take is that it might just be the best thing Conor’s done in a decade (and that’s saying a lot)!
