Allah Las

Just like last year and the year before, we’re making it our mission to help you get acquainted with as many bands as we can from Bonnaroo‘s impressive 2014 lineup.  We’ll start from the bottom and work our way up, paying special attention to the smaller and lesser known acts on this year’s bill. Keep reading for your Bonnaroo Band of the Day…

LEARN

There’s something about the carefree and even somewhat whimsical nature of West Coast rock that makes it nearly universally appealing. Perhaps it’s because the sun stained guitars and hazy vocals remind people of a place where it’s okay to take a deep breathe and enjoy themselves. Regardless of the reasoning behind the popularity of the West Coast style, one thing is for sure: LA based four piece Allah-Las have certainly found quite a bit of success playing in this style.

The group first came together back in 2008, but wouldn’t release their self-titled debut until 2012. A new single came out earlier this year, and the band has announced that fans will likely see a second LP by the end of the year. In the meantime, you can enjoy Allah-Las during their expansive tour, which includes the aforementioned Bonnaroo date. Seeing as this band has made a name for itself by pumping out fun, sunny tunes, we don’t foresee any problems with them slipping right into the mix at Bonnaroo this year. We strongly recommend you make it out to see them, or at the very least, take a listen and watch some videos below.
