Louisville’s Forecastle Festival just took a major step at becoming a major player in the summer festival scene with the announcement of their 2014 lineup including hip-hop legends Outkast, Nashville residing Third Man honcho Jack White, and (one of our heroes) Beck (have you heard that new record yet?!?!) as headliners.  The good times don’t stop there though, you’ll also get chances to check out some of our other highlights in the lineup, like… Spoon, Nickel Creek, Band Of Horses, Local Natives, Gary Clark Jr., Lord Huron, Action Bronson, Jason Isbell, The Black Lips…. oh man, we could just go on and on about this lineup (and we do after the jump).  A couple of certain highlights for us will be the reunion of The Replacements and Louisville based post-rockers Slint.

How did Nashville based bands fare in the lineup selection process?  Well, besides the aforementioned Jack White, you can also hang with your pals Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors, Leagues, The Weeks, The Wans, and Goodbye June!

You may remember our brief coverage of Forecastle last year when we reveled in the accessibility, affordability, & comfortability of this festival contender, and how we claimed we would surely be back.  Well, needless to say, you’ll definitely be seeing us again in Louisville this summer!

A limited number of weekend passes go on sale starting this Friday, March 7 at 11am CST, along with VIP experiences, travel packages, and payment-plan options.  Single day and late-night show tickets along with schedules will be released soon.  Stick with No Country as we’ll be bringing you plenty more on the preview front as the sticky and sweaty approaches.
