Stream the Debut LP ‘The Great Southern Brood’ From Honey Locust

Honey Locust

The Great Southern Brood may perfectly describe the sound of the debut full length release from Honey Locust.  Full of ornate arrangements, the vision of primary Locusters (Jake Davis and Patrick Howell) is described as southern gothic chamber folk, but the tasteful instrumentation keeps the listener eagerly tuned in throughout.  Think Beirut with less pomp and arrogance.

We brought you the first single “Blue Rooms” from Honey Locust last month, and today is the day that you get your first listen to the whole album.  We’re streaming it below, but you can grab physical copies at their Bandcamp page and local retailers.  If you want to check out how this plays out live, mark your calendar for the album release show at The Stone Fox on Friday February 28th w/ Alex Baker of Dewey Decibel.
