Stone Jack Jones

The much anticipated release of Ancestor by Nashville’s Stone Jack Jones is set to drop on March 4th via Western Vinyl, but we’ve been digging on a pre-release of this record for almost a month now.  Today, we are giving you a chance to delve into the dark, edgy, emotive record a week early, and, those of you in Nashville, can enter to win tickets to the record release show with Adia Victoria at The Stone Fox on March 4th.

STONE JACK JONES

Stone Jack Jones may not be a household name yet, but this West Virginia transplant is definitely a buzz on the internets.  In Ancestor, Jones brings a vibe often as dark as the coal of his forefathers, often as lonely and hard as the life of a miner, and as transcendantly beautiful as William “Prince” Bonnie at his finest.  Ancestor was produced by Roger Moutenot (Yo La Tengo, Sleater Kinney, Those Darlins, JEFF, and oodles more) and features collaborations with Patty Griffin, members of Lambchop & more.  Have a listen to the full stream below to see if Ancestor wouldn’t warm up the coldest of quiet, late winter evenings by the fire with a glass of your most cherished brown.

ADIA VICTORIA

Probably an enigma unless you’ve seen her, Adia Victoria may be one of the better kept secrets in Nashville… unless you are one of the musicians in town that adore her.  The talented singer-songwriter harnesses her raspy vocals to bring bluesy soul to life on the stage.  She is currently recording her debut LP with the aforementioned Mr. Moutenot.  But, until you are graced with that release, get to know a little about Adia from a recent chat with our friends at Lockeland Springsteen, and get out early to hear the next big thing that a lot of Nashville is already hip to.
