If you’re a regular reader, then you already know that we pride ourselves in being the most comprehensive local source for coverage on punk, hardcore, emo, alternative, and the rest of the “scene” and its associated subgenres. And, if you’re a fan of that scene, then you know that the Vans Warped Tour is its mecca. In its nineteen summers of existence, Warped has passed through Nashville before, though Music City has been absent from its routing since the 2006 closing of the Starwood Amphitheatre. For the past seven years, our closest options have been Atlanta or Cincinnati. So, of course, we’re thrilled to announce that Nashville will once again be a Warped destination in 2014. The longest-running summer tour in existence will hit the Tennessee State Fairgrounds on July 29, 2014. Tickets are available now (ONLY $25 for a limited time), and a more comprehensive list of artists will soon be announced (head here to peep the first five, and expect around 60 more). See you in the pit?
Excited to see that Sleeper Agent will be playing in Nashville! I’ve been loving their new album, About Last Night, especially their track Waves.
