Last month, we exclusively premiered the lyric video for “I Couldn’t Face You,” the abrasive, emotive title track from Nashville emo/alt rock revivalists Daisyhead‘s debut EP (check it out below). Though that EP was just released this week via Spartan Records (stream it here), the band have already dropped some major new news: they’ve been signed by California indie label No Sleep Records, home to some of the best and buzziest acts in the scene. Daisyhead will tour and release a new, split 7″ in early 2014, with their debut full-length expected to follow.
It’s no secret that we have a soft spot for the current emo/punk/alt rock renaissance that is rippling throughout the underground, and we couldn’t be more excited to see an important part of it taking place in our own backyard. Daisyhead will support fellow No Sleep Records labelmates Balance and Composure this evening for a sold out show at The End, along with locals Better Off and recent Animal Style Records signees Courtesy Drop. We hope you got your tickets in time, because this is going to be a wild one!
