It’s East Nashville Underground week, and the mayhem that is underground is rapidly approaching! We already ran down the 8 off 8th Preview Party over at The High Watt on Monday, and, yesterday, we brought you the Friday night preview. Today, we are going to spotlight one of the fastest growing parts of East Nashville Underground… the Saturday day show. ENU takes place this Friday and Saturday, August 16th and 17th, and tickets for single sessions or the entire weekend are available right here. It’s already been documented that this weekend’s summer session will be the last ENU in its current form, so let’s send this thing off with a bang. The afternoon session gets started at 1pm on Saturday.
We have previews of all the bands performing on Saturday day after the jump. Get in the mood for Underground.
JOSH FARROW
Josh Farrow is a relative newcomer in my world, but he’s hit the radar of lots of other folks. One of those that took notice are the fine recording maniacs up at Daytrotter that have taken a shine to many Nashville artists of late.
THE OAK CREEK BAND
The Oak Creek Band may be new names around these parts, but they built up a lot of steam in the southwest before settling here last winter. And, with tracks like “Don’t Be Fooled”, they will probably be around to teach us a few things for a while to come.
THE ALLEN THOMPSON BAND
The folkicana picks up a bit more jam with long time Nashville stalwarts, The Allen Thompson Band.
NATALIE PRASS
It had been a while since we’d seen Natalie Prass until Nashville Outlines a couple of weeks ago. Despite a fading late night crowd, she was a highlight of our evening.
PONYCHASE
Ponychase was one of our best emerging artists in Nashville last year. Their songwriting skills match the beauty of their melodic synth driven pop. Their recently posted cover of The Cranberries “No Need To Argue” sure was a nice find while prepping this preview article. Enjoy!
BUFFALO RODEO
Buffalo Rodeo hails from up the road in Bowling Green, but we’ve been seeing them on bills all over town lately. For those that haven’t caught them yet, just plan to have your vibe seriously shift (in a good way) to get ready for the evening session!

Just to be clear, No Need to Argue is a Cranberries cover. Jordan loves the Cranberries!
