Neutral Milk Hotel

We told you earlier this year that legendary indie rockers Neutral Milk Hotel would reunite in full band form for the first time since the late ’90s. A week later, we brought you news of the band’s first tour back, which includes stops in Tennessee and nearby Kentucky, Alabama, and Georgia, slated for the fall. Noticeably absent? A Nashville date.

We’d been holding out hope for a Music City stop, and were even assured by the group’s publicist that many, many more dates would be added, and we’re beyond ecstatic to say that the day has finally come- Neutral Milk Hotel’s tour has just been expanded throughout the winter, and now includes a Feb. 2 performance at The Ryman Auditorium! Tickets, which are a very reasonable $36, go on sale this Saturday, Aug. 3, at 10 a.m. right here.

As far as we can tell, this is Neutral Milk Hotel’s first show in Nashville ever (give us a shout in the comments if you know any different). The band’s popularity has continued to skyrocket in the years since their split and, even though singer Jeff Mangum has been easing back into performing over the past several years, a proper reunion show, and their first one here to boot, is sure to sell quickly. Don’t hesitate! After the jump, we’ve got a (rather lengthy) full list of tour dates.
