Just as a reminder, we recently revamped this feature to make it easier to navigate.

Each band name still links to Spotify for a further preview. Additionally, we’ve more clearly placed the live show info. This is something we’ve been adding in for awhile, but, in case you didn’t notice, you can find dates and ticket links for band performances in Nashville and surrounding areas.

This week in Music on Television, we’ve got a pretty eclectic group of recommendations. From local acts to upcoming Bonnaroo performers to rock legends, we dare you not to find something to check out!

_

MONDAY | 4.29

DON’T MISS: Glossary on Last Call with Carson Daly [NBC; 1:35AM/12:35c]: Guitar-driven rock and rollers Glossary are from right down the road: Murfreesboro. Their Carson Daly performance was filmed during a recent SXSW showcase. Show them some local love and tune in!

_

Bonus: Ben Harper with Charlie Musselwhite
Late Show with David Letterman | CBS; 11:35PM/10:35c

Bonus: Old Crow Medicine Show
Conan | TBS; 11PM/10c
[Live | 7.12.13 | Forecastle Festival, Louisville | Info]

_

TUESDAY | 4.30

DON’T MISS: Phoenix on Late Show with David Letterman [CBS; 11:35PM/10:35c]: After setting the bar impossibly high a few years ago with Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix, the French electro-rockers just came back with a much more subdued, but brilliant, latest effort: Bankrupt! Some fans are torn, but I love their new sound.

[Live | 5.5.13 | Beale St. Music Festival, Memphis | Info]

_

Bonus: Band of Horses
Jimmy Kimmel Live! | ABC; 11:35PM/10:35c

Bonus: Blue Hawaii
Last Call with Carson Daly | NBC; 12:35AM/11:35c

_

WEDNESDAY | 5.1

DON’T MISS: Johnny Marr on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon [NBC; 12:35AM/11:35c]: Okay, so that Smiths reunion we’re all hoping for will probably never happen, but at least they’re keeping active! Marr’s new and technically (but not really) first proper solo album The Messenger is really fantastic, and he’s been heavy on the promotional trail, even stopping to play a Smiths song everyone once in awhile to remind us what could have been.

_

Bonus: The Stepkids
Last Call with Carson Daly | NBC; 12:35AM/11:35c
[Live | 6.13.13 | Bonnaroo | Info]

Bonus: Cheap Trick
The Tonight Show with Jay Leno | NBC; 11:35PM/10:35c

_

THURSDAY | 5.2

DON’T MISS: Foals on Last Call with Carson Daly [NBC; 1:35AM/12:35c]: With the release of their latest album, Holy Fire, English rockers Foals have proven to be an unstoppable force in dance-y, mathy indie rock. They have a reputation for being a great live band, so let their Carson performance tide you over until Bonnaroo.

[Live | 6.14.13 | Bonnaroo | Info]

_

Bonus: Icona Pop
Late Night with Jimmy Fallon | NBC; 12:35AM/11:35c

Bonus: Atlas Genius
Late Show with David Letterman | CBS; 11:35PM/10:35c
[Live | 6.9.13 | 3rd and Lindsley, Nashville | Info]

Bonus: AWOLNATION
The Tonight Show with Jay Leno | NBC; 11:35PM/10:35c
[Live | 5.5.13 | Beale St. Music Festival, Memphis | Info]

_

FRIDAY | 5.3

DON’T MISS: Gin Wigmore on Good Morning America [ABC; check local listings]: Earlier this month, when recommending her Leno performance, I called New Zealand singer Gin Wigmore a bit hard to pin down. She’s a little bit pop, a little bit folk, a little alt-rock, and a whole lot of soul and attitude.

[Live | 5.1.13 | University of North Alabama, Florence | Info]

_

SATURDAY | 5.4

DON’T MISS: Of Monsters and Men on Saturday Night Live [NBC; 11:30PM/10:30c]: Icelandic indie folk/poppers are one of three exciting bands finishing out the SNL season (Vampire Weekend and Kanye West are next). Revisit their monster (no pun intended) hit “Little Talks” while counting down the days until you can catch them at Bonnaroo.

[Live | June 2013 | Bonnaroo | Info]
