The highlight of our week (and hopefully yours) was Record Store Day. Where did you spend it? What was your favorite purchase? Anything you had your heart set on that you couldn’t seem to track down? Catch any great performances? Let us know in the comments!

Aside from the best holiday that music lovers could ask for, we also caught some great shows, and broke some exciting news about an upcoming one. In case you missed anything, here’s the rundown of everything we covered last week on the site:

  • NEWS: Josh Rouse released a new video, and performed two local shows.
  • NEWS: We speculated on Thunderbitch news, which turned out to be a second show, 4/25 at fooBAR.

  • SHOW: “Weird Al” Yankovic performed at TPAC.
  • SHOW: Lulu Mae, The Local Strangers, and Jesse Lafser performed at a Cause a Scene house party.
  • SHOW: Gramatik and Cherub performed at the Cannery Ballroom and we gave away tickets.
  • SHOW: On the heels of a new song teaser, a Daft Punk Tribute took place at Exit/In.
  • SHOW: The Milk Carton Kids and Aoife O’Donovan played at The High Watt and we gave away tickets.
  • SHOW: The final Road to Bonnaroo competition took place at Mercy Lounge. Ri¢hie won, and we recapped the entire night.
  • RELEASE: Vitek realsed a new single, “Sunbird,” which we offered as a free download.
  • VIDEO: Fall Out Boy performed a tribute to Spinal Tap on Conan.
  • FUN: Hump Day Diversion: Clarissa and the Straight Jackets
  • CONTEST: We gave away tickets for Matt Costa at Mercy Lounge.
