The start of the year always suffers from the music industry taking an extended holiday break, so we had a very feature heavy week last week. But don’t worry, there are plenty of shows picking back up this week to make up for it! We have tons of coverage coming your way.

In case you missed anything, here’s a rundown of what we covered on the site for the first week of January:

  • NEWS: Bonnaroo released their first official lineup clue (and we’re pretty sure we figured it out).
  • FEATURE: This Weekend in Nashville: We highlighted our picks for the best weekend shows around town.
  • FEATURE: New Release Spotlight: The second half of our picks for the best December releases.
  • FEATURE: The Best Music Films of 2012: Philip put together a personal list of the best music-related films of 2012.
  • FEATURE: No Country’s Best Nashville Shows of 2012: Each of our main contributors named our top 10 Nashville show moments from last year.
  • FEATURE: 2012’s Guilty Pleasures: Philip looked back at some of the best guilty pleasure singles from mainstream radio.
  • SHOW: Ill Patriot, Sexx, The Tendoor, and McKenzie Gregg & the Tangles played at Exit/In.
  • VIDEO: Montage of 2012’s Departed: We reported on the New York Times’ montage of musicians we lost in 2012.
