Tom Waits sends his holiday love

I was sitting up nursing a glass of really nice scotch after the family called it a night on Saturday, and stumbled upon a rerun of a 1978 Austin City Limits broadcast featuring Tom Waits.  I couldn’t imagine a more fitting end to a night of family than relaxing on the couch with a snifter and Mr. Waits.  A special treat was the medley he pulled off of Silent Night / Christmas Card From A Hooker In Minneapolis (which is one of my personal favorite Waits’ songs).  I’ve attached that video below.

After you’ve finished up with all of your holiday chores this evening, take a few moments to sit down with a glass of what chills you out, and let Mr. Waits carol you to sleep.
