It’s time to review your options for doing your civic duty as a citizen of Nashville:

Friday

I am super excited about Maps & Atlases and Cory Branan tonight at Mercy Lounge. Doors at 8, show starts at 9. 18+, Tickets are $12. Read more about the show here.

Stagolee, Water Liars, Blackfoot Gypsies, Cult Logic, and Local H are playing at The Basement tonight. Show starts at 9 pm, $5 cover.

Saturday

The Musicians Corner: Music City Roots Square Dance Special Event goes from 3pm to 6 pm at Centennial Park and features performances from Kenny Vaughn, John England and The Western Swingers, JP Harris and The Touch Choices, and The Stray Birds. This is a free event.

The Electric Hearts and The Black Cadillacs play The Basement, show starts at 9 p.m. $5 cover.

Nick Lowe and Eleni Mandell play Mercy Lounge. $25 early admission and $20 general admission.  Show starts at 9.

Sunday

You’ve got Sunday School at Exit In with Tower Defense, Meadownoise, Bows and Arrows. Starts at 7 and it’s free.

Probably a light weekend as far as Nashville goes, but that doesn’t excuse you from your duty. Pick a show and go shake what your momma gave you.
