Outside Lands Goes Viral…

What do you think has been the best festival lineup of 2012? For me, hands down, no contest, no question, shine a lamp in my eyes, I’ll still tell you the same thing, it is…. Outside Lands. I know I am a little biased with it being my kinda-hometown and all, but seriously, that lineup is ridiculous.

Metallica, Stevie Wonder, Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Foo Fighters, Jack White, Beck, Skrillex, Sigur Ros, Justice, Norah Jones, Dispatch, The Kills, Regina Spektor, Passion Pit, Andrew Bird, Grandaddy, Big Boi, Bloc Party, Explosions in the Sky, Santigold, Franz Ferdinand, MSTRKRFT, Rebelution, Die Antwoord, Fitz and The Tantrums, Portugal. The Man, Amadou & Mariam. Wolfgang Gartner, fun., Dr. Dog, The Walkmen, Washed Out, City and Colour, Two Gallants, Of Monsters and Men, MiMOSA, Alabama Shakes, Reggie Watts, Trampled by Turtles, Tame Impala, Jovanotti, The Be Good Tanyas, YACHT, Antibalas, Sharon Van Etten, Tom Morello: The Nightwatchman, Geographer, Sean Hayes, Bomba Estereo, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Big Gigantic, Thee Oh Sees, Wallpaper, Tennis, Zola Jesus, White Denim, Allen Stone, The M Machine, Michael Kiwanuka, Tanlines, Father John Misty, Electric Guest, Caveman, Jukebox the Ghost, PAPA, Yellow Ostrich, Cory Chisel and the Wandering Sons, Bird, Honey Island Swamp Band, Animal Kingdom, Futurebirds, Infantree, Mark Farina, Justin Martin, ROY DAVIS JR., Gene Hunt, David Starfire, Jeno, Motion Potion, Afrolicious : DJ Set by Señor Oz, Zach Moore, Jef Stott, The MOM DJ, Sake One, The Brass Tax, Julius Papp

You know what is going to piss you off even more. I had tickets. Not only did I have tickets, I had a free airfare & accomodation too. Why didn’t I go? Well, apparently, I am an idiot…
Anyway, pity party aside, let’s move forward positively, shall we. Neither you, nor I are going to this awesomeness, but you can still catch tons of it via the power of the internet. You can tune in through Tune In to live performances at the festival. They even have an app that you can download. Hit up Tune In here to learn more. The full Tune In lineup is below.

You can also check out the Free Yr Radio webcast with another full lineup. You can’t get this one on the smart phone, but you can tune into Stanford University Radio to stream it live through your computer. The full lineup for that one is below too.

The music calendar in Nashville is oddly light this weekend for the music we all care about. Apparently, it is because everyone is apparently in San Francisco right now, so get out and listen to some live music.
