In the backlog of requests that we constantly battle, I finally got the chance to check out the new video for “Bait” by Nashville’s Altered Stateman, and it is pretty damn awesome. With a sound that evokes Beck and Ariel Pink, this is definitely a band that I am going to keep my eye on around Nashville. Joe McMahan (who recorded and co-produced the record), Clay Brocker (FUCT), Kyle Hamlett and Kelli Shay Hix (Lylas), Stevie Nicole Bailey (Laser Flames on the Great Big News), local comedian Craig Smith and members of the Altered Statesman all appear in the video that was shot at Capital View Pawn in Nashville.
