As part of their music discovery series for each of the 50 states, Paste Magazine finally got around to the great southern parallelogram that we call home. Nashville (inc. The Murf) is home to half of the 12, and we have spent a lot of time here telling you about most of them. So, let’s give a quick shout out to Vinyl Thief (#11), Glossary (#9), Cherub (#6), Apache Relay (#5), Moon Taxi (#4), and The Kingston Springs (#2). Hell yeah, Nashville!

Knoxville brought in three acts with Plainclothes Tracy (#12), The Black Cadillacs (#8), & Dirty Guv’nahs (#3). Memphis grabbed the top spot (though it’s probably not really a competition) with Star & Micey, and also boasts Cities Aviv (#10) & The Memphis Dawls (#7).

Congrats to all these parallelogramians. Head over here to have a listen to each one of them, and read the Paste write-up.
