Lower Dens leaks new track and hint of new record

Lower Dens was one of my favorite shows of 2011, and was one of those shows where the opener one upped the headliner (Cass McCombs) at The Basement.  Ironically enough, McCombs is back in Nashville tomorrow night, but more about that tomorrow.  For now, I wanted to post up the leaked track called “Brains” from Lower Dens.  It’s a bit more synthy than what we have heard from Lower Dens in the past, but it is still pretty damn good.  They are also hinting that they have completed their new record, which we assume (based on tags in the leaked mp3) is called Nootropics.  While we wait to check out that record, and, hopefully get them back to Nashville soon, have a listen to the new track below.  If you like it you can download it for your own iPod at Lower Dens website.
