Mr. Gnome, The End, Tonight In Nashville

Loud, melancholic guitar rock.  Man, I could eat that for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and that why I’m going to see Mr. Gnome tonight at The End in Nashville.

Mr. Gnome are a two piece indie rock band out of Cleveland, OH.  They’ve been putting out records since 2006, and have an awesome new release titled Madness In Miniature that dropped back in October on their own El Marko label.  You can hear influences from the likes of Cat Power or Land of Talk, and you could claim bands like Mr. Gnome are influential to the likes of the Dum Dum Girls.  This LA bloggers girlfriend said they are awesome live (haha)  There’s a player below for you to listen to (and buy) that Madness in Minature record.

Openers include Nashville femme bitch rockers (their words, not mine) Thelma and the Sleaze, who’s name continues to pop up more and more these days (including that write up from The Cream a couple of months ago about them taking the stage shirtless wearing only strategically located black tape strips).  So that should be interesting, to say the least.  Things kick off around 9pm with Crybaby, and tickets are only $7.  Get out and see some live music tonight!

This show rocks & this WILL be the last time this band is in this small of a venue. Classic “I saw at The End in ” material.
