The Kingston Springs, Bird Cloud, and Rayland Baxter, Exit/In, Tonight In Nashville

Alright, I’m getting all backwards on ya, yo.  I promise I won’t ever talk like that again, if you promise me to get out and see some music this weekend.  I already told you about Lucero at Mercy Lounge, but if that’s not your gig… i might just have something else for you.

I am purposely writing the lineup for Exit/In on Friday night backwards, and that is because I am the most excited about seeing The Kingston Springs and Bird Cloud.  I’ll be honest, I don’t really know that much about Rayland Baxter, and I hope to be surprised on Friday night.  But, that being said, I’m gonna tell you about what I know I like first.  I’ve talked about The Kingston Springs during that free concert in the Cannery/Mercy Lounge parking lot with Delta Spirit, The Rosebuds, Surfer Blood, and during SoundLand, and again for a recent 8 off 8th gig at Mercy.  I finally had the chance to see them in Knoxville opening for J. Roddy Walston & The Business, and they were great.  They are definitely worth your time.

I haven’t seen Bird Cloud, which is a shame given that I talked about them last weekend when they played at The 5 Spot with Those Darlins’ during the Girls Night Out premeire.  It seems like these Nashville gals are opening for everyone these days, so chances are good that my opportunity is pretty damn close.  I guess tonight is as good as any to find out what I have been missing.

As for Rayland Baxter, I really don’t know much about him.  It’s some singer-songwriter stuff that I guess is good enough to get him first billing.  Maybe, I’m just not in that kind of mood while I am writing this.  So, hey, don’t let me tell you not to check him out.  He made it super easy by attaching an embeddable player right there on the front of his web page, so you can check that out below if you want.

Tickets for this one are $12, and things supposedly get started at 8pm.  Bottom line, get out and see some live music tonight!  If you wanna be all super bad ass head over to Exit/In to start, and then roll down to Mercy Lounge for Lucero, playa!  Oops.
