Portishead straight off her first east-coast American appearances in 13 years at All Tomorrow’s Parties in New Jersey, which she curated this year, stopped by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to perform a couple of tracks. You can check them out below. You can also head over to NPR’s website to hear a number of the other artists at this year’s festival, and make sure you check out the All Songs Considered podcast with Bob Boylen and Lars Gotrich driving in the car (it’s funny) on the way home from the festival where they discuss their festival highlights including Thinking Fellers Union Local 282, The Album Leaf, Swans, The Horrors, Earth, and Public Enemy. These shows and many others are available for free download at NPR’s website.
NPR couldn’t get Portishead to agree to let them record and share the concerts, but Jimmy Fallon got her to share with the rest of us. Take a look at the two tracks below, as it is the closest we in Nashville will get to seeing her perform live.
