Childish Gambino, Cannery Ballroom, Tonight in Nashville

Do you remember me talking about Childish Gambino a couple of months ago?  Well, the actor/tv writer/sketch comedian/rapper Donald Glover has been busy.  He (as Childish Gambino) just recently signed a deal with Glassnote Records (the ones responsible for bands like Mumford & Sons and Phoenix), and is set to release his debut LP, Camp, on November 1st.  His intelligent and humorous take on hip-hop has received the acclaim of numerous music outlets, and was recently highlighted in NPR’s All Songs Considered podcast.

You still have a chance to see Childish Gambino tonight at the Cannery Ballroom.  Tickets are $22 and doors open at 8pm when DJ Siik kicks things off.  Thursday is mini-Friday, so, watch Donald as Troy Barnes on Community at 7pm, and then go see him as Childish Gambino at 8pm.  Get out there and see some live music.
