Black Moth Super Rainbow, Exit/In, Tonight in Nashville

Need witty paragraph, insert witty paragraph, opening witty paragraph needed.  Ok, that’ll do.

Black Moth Super Rainbow is playing tonight at Exit/In.  This Pittsburgh, PA band is something to behold.  I saw them a few years ago in San Francisco, and I still am not sure what I saw.  It’s like a aural acid trip.  Mixing elements of psychdelic folk, pop, and electronic music characterized by analog electronic instruments this is a sure bet to see some serious musicians doing some very non-traditional stuff.  What would you expect from band members named Tobacco, The Seven Fields of Aphelion, D. Kyler, and (somewhat normal) Ryan Graveface.  The origin of Black Moth Super Rainbow was a Tobacco led band by the name of satanstompingcaterpillars.  I mean read this quote from one an insert in their Dandelion Gum album…. WTF?

Deep in the woods of western Pennsylvania vocoders hum amongst the flowers and synths bubble under the leaf-strewn ground while flutes whistle in the wind and beats bounce to the soft drizzle of a warm acid rain. As the sun peeks out from between the clouds, the organic aural concoction of Black Moth Super Rainbow starts to glisten above the trees.

It is interesting music by some talented musicians.  So, if you are feeling up for something different, head over to Exit/In tonight to check it out.  Openers include Dosh & Marshmallow Ghosts.  Tickets are $18 at the door.

A player is attached below with a few tracks to let you know what you might get into tonight.  If you are a mobile user, try this link.
