My Old Kentucky Blog tipped me off about Lera Lynn and her amazing covers.  Lera is an Athens Georgia based singer songwriter that was formerly the voice of the folk-pop band Birds and Wire.  Lera just released her debut album, Have You Met Lera Lynn?, and she will be in Nashville to perform at Music City Roots on Wednesday July 27th.  You can order her new album and check out some other videos of at her website.  Below are two of my favorite covers, and I included a link to some of her original stuff.  Get out and see this truly talented songstress.
