For those of you that follow other blogs and tweets and whatnot, you don’t really need an introduction to GIVERS.  Their poppy, almost like a new generation’s Paul Simon Graceland, has captured the hearts of some many music critics.

Almost an accident in coming together, this band has seized opportunity to the fullest and is ready to explode.  The band signed up to tour with with Ra Ra Riot and Dirty Projectors.  It was at the Austin City Limits festival where the band caught the eye of Daniel Glass of Glassnote Entertainment.  Shortly thereafter, the band signed with Glassnote, and was working with producer Ben Allen (Animal Collective, Cee Loo, Deerhunter, etc…) to produce, with the help of Chris Coady (TV on the Radio, Grizzly Bear, and Beach House), the record In Light.  This album, which releases on June 7th, is available for pre-order now on iTunes.

So, the table is set for this awesome new band, and you can check them out at this year’s Bonnaroo festival on Friday June 1oth at the On Tap Lounge from 5:20 to 6:10pm.

Click here to hear some tunes, and read more at the band’s page on the Bonnaroo website.
