It feels as if we’re walking in the lingering days of the past, when everything was just a shade easier and we could breathe deeper. It’s where Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. take us with its music. – Daytrotter.com
Love the name or hate the name, this Detroit based indie-pop duo is screaming around turn 3 and making some serious waves. This band is hard to get any information on since the wonder that is Google clearly prefers Nascar to indie pop startups. I do know that these guys are quickly growing in popularity and are already slated for some festival appearances later this summer. So, if you want an uplifting feel good kind of night for Judgement Day, then DEJJ might be just be the choice for you tonight at The Basement (9pm) with The Generationals opening. (You’ll have to do some research on the New Orleans based, indie rock band The Generationals yourself [here’s a link to their myspace]. It’s Judgement Day, and I don’t want to spend my possible final hours in front of a computer.)
DEJJ has a pretty cool Daytrotter session to get you in the mood. You can also download the song Morning Thoughts for free from the DEJJ website for the small fee of an email address.
