In anticipation their upcoming EP release, Daniel Ellsworth & The Great Lakes have debuted another new single “Get Mine,” picking up right where they left off from the first announced single “Always/Never.” The new EP, titled Bemidji, was recorded here in Nashville by Vance Powell, but was written in a cabin in the small Minnesota town of Bemidji. Described as a companion piece to their well received 2014 release Kid Tiger, it retains the highly energetic and danceable brand of indie rock that we come to expect from DE&tGL, but with a more aggressive guitar heavy approach than previous outputs. Hey, no complaining, it works magically within the band’s “never stop moving” identity.
The new singles and the upcoming EP, due out in early 2016, are reason to celebrate. Have a listen to the new single and check out the accompanying video below, and make sure to grab tickets for their upcoming Nashville Sunday Night date at 3rd & Lindsley on March 13.
