Feist is playing at Third Man Records, Tonight In Nashville

Whoops!  I guess someone got caught slacking off at work yesterday!  Third Man Records made a last second announcement that Feist would be performing tonight in Third Man’s, Blue Room.  Online tickets are already sold out, but, supposedly, there are still some available at the Third Man Record store (open until 6pm today).

Sigh, I’m trying not to beat myself up about this one.  You may know Feist as the quirky little iPod famous singer of “1,2,3,4”, but I know her much better for her part in Broken Social Scene.  Her new record Metals just came out a few weeks ago, and it is pretty bad ass.  She didn’t have a planned tour date, but I guess Jack White made a phone call or something.  I must admit, it could only be billed as awesome to see her in the tiny, tiny confines of the Third Man Blue Room.

I’m pretty stoked for Black Angels, Spindrift, and Dead Meadow at Exit/In tonight, but they don’t EVER start anywhere close to on time right?  So, I could probably swing in to see Feist first, and then hit up that triple bill afterwards, right.  Sheesh, the cab bill is going to be hefty tonight!  Cross your fingers that tickets are still available when I get down to the store.  I gotta get out to see some live music tonight.
