English indie rockers Arctic Monkeys have slowly been springing back to life over the past year, ending a brief hiatus following their 2013 fifth effort AM and subsequent tour, to focus on personal lives and side projects, including the sophomore effort from Alex Turner’s pop-geared endeavor The Last Shadow Puppets. Apparently having recorded quietly recorded a new LP already, which should arrive sometime this year, the band are gearing up to hit the road for the first time since 2014, including an already announced headlining spot at Firefly Festival, a run of European dates, and a newly announced short North American trek, which includes a stop at Ascend Amphitheater on June 18.
The band’s first Nashville show since a performance at Marathon Music Works in 2013, Arctic Monkey’s return is a welcome addition to a summer slate that keeps growing more and more exciting, and if, like us, you’re planning to go to Bonnaroo, the weeklong breather in between should be more than enough to have you feeling rested and ready for another outdoor affair. Tickets go on sale this Friday, March 16 at 10 a.m. CDT right here, or right now using pre-sale code ‘amnatour.’ Given the strong hype surrounding their return, we wouldn’t suggest snoozing. Check out all of the dates below!
