Okey Dokey-2017-620

We first told you about local psych pop outfit Okey Dokey last spring, ahead of their debut performance with us at our Acme Feed & Seed showcase.  A songwriting duo composed of The Weeks’ (and former Sol Cat) guitarist Johny Fisher and local artist and bassist Aaron Martin, Okey Dokey have continued to mesmerize us with their evolving live performance that has morphed into a stage show with an increasingly large number of incredible rotating players (from the likes of Wild Child, The Weeks, Rayland Baxter, Morning Teleportation, and Bully) to bring their retro-informed psychedelic sound to life.

The band are prepping to release their debut Love You, Mean It this Friday, Jan. 27, and they are celebrating on Monday, Jan. 30 with a kick ass bill at The East Room for their release party dubbed “The Pink Prom.”  Okey Dokey will be joined on that bill by Dan Luke & The Raid and Ranch Ghost with a special DJ set from Sparkle City.  The theme of the night will be a “chill/formal prom,” so the band ask that you come dressed ready for the event.  While you are dusting off that cumberbund and grabbing your tickets, you can get hip with the new record a few days early below!
