No band are more inextricably linked with the notion of ’00s emo, perhaps, than Chris Carrabba-helmed outfit Dashboard Confessional. Initially conceived as a solo side project, while Chris served as frontman for Florida cult emo favorite Further Seems Forever, Dashboard found a swift indie following with 2000 debut The Swiss Army Romance, and by 2003 third effort, A Mark, a Mission, a Brand, a Scar, the project, by then a full-on band, had become a certifiable, breakout mainstream success. After a celebrated run, and following a 10th anniversary Swiss Army anniversary tour in 2010, Dashboard became relatively low key, entering something of a hiatus while Carrabba explored new outlets, reuniting with his old group Further Seems Forever, and trying his hand at indie folk with new project Twin Forks.

The “emo revival” of the past few years, however, has helped curb critical opinion of what that musical movement meant in a broader context, bringing new interest in the scene, and creating the perfect environment for a Dashboard Confessional return. Carrabba, now based in Nashville, has been gradually breathing new life into his most famous band since 2015, touring intermittently and preparing new music for the first time since 2009’s Alter the Ending. As the group prep to embark on their latest tour, a nearly sold out run of dates across the U.S., they’ve just announced a special surprise to cap it off: three nights in Nashville, Feb. 21, 22, & 23, at The Basement East! This intimate, special affair marks Dashboard’s first time in Music City in six years, and will no doubt sell out fast. Grab your tickets beginning Friday, Jan. 13 at 10 a.m. CST right here (2/21), here (2/22), and here (2/23), with a pre-sale beginning Jan. 11 (use the password ‘INFIDELITIES’).

UPDATE: Due to overwhelming demand, two more shows have been added, Feb. 26 & 28. Grab tickets while they last here (2/26) and here (2/28).
