Though perhaps not as cinematic as his recent short film trio of video releases, ScHoolboy Q‘s latest, for lighthearted and catchy track “Overtime,” featuring Miguel and singer Justine Skye, is nonetheless a fun end of summer romp, complete with gratuitous booty shots and psychedelic vibes. Definitely at odds with the mostly darker bent of Q’s phenomenal new effort Blank Face, “Overtime” still functions as a fun, bright jam, and flexes the breakout hip hop star’s mainstream range in the midst of his most critically celebrated year to date.
