First things first: Justin Timberlake is NOT performing at Pilgrimage Fest. At least not officially, and not as far as we know, so don’t get your hopes up for that.

Alright, do you have your expectations checked? What we can announce is still pretty exciting, and that’s that Timberlake, now a Franklin resident, has signed on as a partner and producer of the local fest, which returns for its second year at The Park at Harlinsdale Farm next month, Sept. 24 & 25. Justin, along with his creative director Trace Ayala, also a local, will join festival founders and producers Kevin Griffin, Brandt Wood, and Michael Whelan, handling the creative direction of next month’s event and for years to come.

Timberlake, originally born in Memphis, said in a statement “I couldn’t be more excited about becoming part of The Pilgrimage Music & Culture Festival. Being a Tennessee native and now a member of the community in Franklin, I have been watching the development of the festival over the past two years. For me, this is an amazing opportunity to help build an exceptional event and contribute to my community.” Co-founder Kevin Griffin adds, “It really is a perfect fit to have Justin on board as a partner not only for his knowledge and accomplishments in the music industry but also his love for the Tennessee area.”

This year’s bill features an exciting array of performers like Beck, Daryl Hall & John Oates, Kacey Musgraves, Violent Femmes, Grace Potter, Jason Isbell, The Arcs, Cake, City and Colour, Margo Price, Anderson East, and more, and tickets are still available here.
