Folky alt-country artist Hiss Golden Messenger is set to return to Nashville in support of his new LP and sophomore Merge Records release, Heart Like A Levee, due out on Oct. 7.  He’ll be touring in support of that record including a stop at Exit/In on Oct. 15.  We’ve touted high praise for the band helmed and fronted by M.C. Taylor before when he played The Ryman recently with Dawes and as a Bonnaroo Band of the Day back in 2015, but the further we dig into his catalog, including the five pre-Merge releases, the more enamored we’ve become with his emotive songwriting and excellently arranged songs.

Head below to check out “Biloxi,” the first single to emerge from the new record, and then snag your $15 tickets for the show.  Hiss Golden Messenger will be joined with the solo project from Phil Cook, who you may recognize from bands like Megafaun and Gayngs, making this one that you definitely need to have on your radar.
